Understanding What Motivates the Assisted Living Employee (2 CEUs) 

Focuses on how to retain employees.  Describes what the facility needs from the employees and what the employees need from the facility, e.g., social approval, self-esteem, and similar needs.  Strategies for meeting employees' needs are explored.  Theory X, theory Y and theory Z are explored as ways to understand employee and employer behavior.  Maslow's hierararchy of needs is presented and discussed.  Ways to retain staff are presented.  Employee evaluaton functions are explored.  Finally, paying employees is explored.
